Karen Syzdek joined Sweet Magnolia Events, then Texas Hill Country Events, in May 2014 with more than twenty years of event planning experience. She began her event planning career in Houston where she worked for hotels and a country club coordinating weddings and various social events. She then moved into the corporate meeting industry overseeing the planning and coordination of telecommunications conferences and tradeshows. In 2001, Karen founded an event planning and association management company serving professional healthcare societies which she still manages today. In addition to her professional experience, Karen has developed, coordinated, and executed numerous nonprofit fundraisers and activities. She lives in Southwest Austin with her husband and her Maltipoo, Rigley, and enjoys reading, live music and theatre, and traveling.

Kristin believes she is blessed to have her dream job as an event consultant. When planning her own wedding in 2004 she realized she had a niche. Unsure of where she belonged in the wedding industry she strove for knowledge in different areas. Gaining hands-on experience while working for one of Austin’s prestigious caterers, and booking many weddings and private parties for one of Austin’s premier variety bands. While she enjoyed these ventures, she knew she wanted to be more involved with the details of each event. From there she made the decision to become a wedding consultant and it has been the best decision yet. Kristin comes to Elaine & Lee from a very honorable coordinating company to take on our Senior Lead Coordinator position and provide the best service to our clients. She enjoys forming relationships with her clients and their families, from the beginning of the planning journey until the end. Seeing the smiles on their faces at the end of the event day brings her such joy! She’ll be along your side to give you advice and help create your vision throughout your planning experience. Brooke is a Texas girl, born and raised. She takes great joy in learning peoples’ love stories and seeing them through to their big day. She knows the importance and strength in genuinely connecting with people, attention to detail, and excellent listening skills – she will never stop hustling to make dreams come true.

A creative spirit and adventurer at heart, Brooke worked for years as a teacher where she learned to balance discipline, structure, and imagination – she now applies those skills to every project she is privileged to be involved in. The goal is to never stop learning, beam positivity into everything she does, and to create joy & beauty in as many ways as possible.

Kyla was born and raised in Spokane, Washington where she earned a degree in Public Relations and Promotions from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She has over four years of experience in both social events and weddings. Her passion in life is helping and giving to those around her. Having recently moved to Wimberley, she is excited to grow and flourish in Texas. Being from a strong Military family, Kyla has learned the true meaning of service and dedication to others. She loves the planning aspect and making sure events run smoothly for both her clients and vendors. She also has an extensive background in mixology and enjoys creating specialty cocktails with her clients. Kyla is looking forward to being able to infuse each event with her creativity and attention to detail.
